Medecision is looking for a Marketing Event Manager, a passionate power contributor who understands how to develop a comprehensive event marketing plan that optimizes company awareness in the marketplace. You will manage all aspects of our annual event strategy.




You, as the Marketing Event Manager, will play a key role in the Marketing Services group, working closely with team members to achieve corporate goals. Specifically, you will drive participation in company sponsored and company hosted industry events.

Location(s): Dallas, TX



  • Developing and managing the execution of industry conferences, tradeshows and company hosted events that drive company awareness and generate qualified leads.
  • Delivering events on time, within budget, that meet expectations.
  • Managing and weekly communicating a rolling 12-month events calendar with weekly updates.
  • Identifying, recruiting and managing speakers for key events.  This requires involvement in selection of topics, reviewing content, helping organize speaker information and panelists on delivery, and supervising set-up and execution.
  • Contributing to the creative process of events to ensure overall event approach is unmatched.
  • Leveraging social media, PR and content programs to assist in building thought leadership in event marketing.
  • Working closely with marketing, sales, account management and company leadership to maximize participation in industry conferences/tradeshows.
  • Tracking and reporting on event performance on both the aggregate and tactic levels. Use findings to inform continuous improvement efforts.



  • BA, BS in marketing, communications, business or related field required.
  • 3-5 years of proven, successful event management – with direct experience B2B Healthcare IT, preferably with a focus on healthcare providers or payers.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the social media landscape, trends, and best practices and working knowledge of major social media sites – LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Proven track record of executing complex multi-touch, multi-dimensional marketing campaigns
  • Superior organizational and operational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • High-energy, professional and personable with superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with marketing automation tools (Pardot).
  • Ability to think creatively, stay calm under pressure, meet deadlines and problem solve.
  • Tech-savvy (proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe programs a plus).
  • A passion for events and ability to develop creative angle to maximize value from events.
