Medecision is looking for a Senior Clinical Consultant, a passionate power contributor who blends solid communication, team work, analysis with proven clinical, business and technology experience. You will be joining an established team working with a large and progressive customer; using our Medecision platform to improve individual experience of care, quality of care and reducing per capita cost of care.




You, as the Clinical Consultant, apply your clinical and business expertise in setting up and maintaining the client’s needs with the Medecision platform.  Includes: participating or conducting workflow analysis, consulting or completing software setup, consulting and setup of clinical criteria and/or clinical assessment tools or forms, assisting with software testing, conducting training and assisting or providing general clinical support of Medecision platform.

You will work directly with the client’s clinical and non-clinical staff as well as Medecision Product Management, Development, Support, QA, and Software Management to perform these functions to achieve ongoing satisfaction of Medecision platform and services.

  • Assisting client with clinical criteria selection and ensuring this is set up and operational in their software. Understands client’s business and how the product may best meet their clinical needs by conducting or participating in a workflow analysis.
  • Provides clinical input to PM and BA on software setup for configurable tables and options.
  • Able to produce reports from consulting interviews that can be translated into actionable items for the customer to use in order to improve their efficiency and effectiveness of their work.
  • Assist in developing sales and client strategy and direction.
  • Acts as liaison between sales, product management, and professional services.
  • Provides clinical support to sales staff, assisting them in closing new business opportunities.
  • Provides clinical input to the product management process.
  • Consults with professional services and other departments on highly technical problems.
  • Active role in the sales process.



  • BA or BSN in nursing, Registered nurse, or similar health care field
  • 5-10 years background in Utilization Management and/or Case Management or Disease Management or Worker’s Comp. Preferred health care insurance experience of at least 3 years
  • Experience with software setup of UM or Case Management system or other medical related services and training.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Excel in multiple task prioritization.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Clinical Criteria or support tools such as Milliman and Interqual Connect.
  • Excellent leadership skills and willingness to share knowledge.
  • Sales experience with preparing clinical case studies and performing demos for sales initiatives.



  • Creativity--Knowledge of the approaches, tools, and techniques for promoting creative, original thinking and ability to apply it to a variety of business/clinical situations.
  • Core Application Systems--Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage said applications for use in diverse situations.
  • Problem Solving--Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Analytical Thinking--Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis and the ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve the problems in the best interest of the business.
  • Workflow Analysis--Knowledge of and ability to manage IT work activities, processes and progress within a system to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
