Medecision is looking for a Vice President of Infrastructure Services, a passionate power contributor responsible for developing technology solutions in support of mission critical business platforms across the Medecision enterprise.

You, as the VP Infrastructure Services, excel at leading a highly effective, agile organization to meet the growing demand for various products while providing significant value to the business. You are skilled at leading large scale program management initiatives to support evolving business, customer and technological needs. You will lead senior technologists who are responsible for delivering leading edge, industry recognized solutions while at the same time lowering the total cost of ownership to the corporation.

Location: Wayne, PA

Responsibilities

YOU’RE GOOD AT:

  • Building and cultivating executive relationships within the business and IT organizations throughout Medecision and their clients
  • Leading, and developing a team of skilled technologists that are responsible for delivering enterprise performance solutions for highly available products, applications and services; domain focus includes real time population health services
  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of high performance infrastructure services, web and on-line, network, high speed data transport technologies that support high transactional volume platforms
  • Defining enterprise solutions and services encompassing platform and production technologies in the areas of data and voice networks, enterprise systems, database and storage, end user productivity, web infrastructure, application performance tuning and profiling, data center solutions and information security
  • Leading the development and execution of Infrastructure Architecture, Engineering and Operational Roadmaps to meet business unit product offerings, marketing strategies and industry trends
  • Leading and participating in IT In-sourcing/Out-sourcing Governance and Leadership initiatives
  • Leading IT Risk Management initiatives in line with industry and corporate Audit and Compliance strategies
  • Demonstrating a solid understanding and capability to develop Disaster Recovery Plans DRP) for Business IT Infrastructure, and to successfully execute on the plans
  • Demonstrating a solid understanding and capability to develop Business Continuity Plans (BCP), and working with business partners to successfully execute on the plans
  • Developing a comprehensive department talent strategy including: career development, leadership development, recruitment/talent pipelining to address the ongoing human talent needs of the organization
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and team members to understand project portfolios.
  • Crafting a demand management strategy to ensure proper resource allocation for annual demand planning
  • Defining and implementing methodology frameworks for total cost of ownership analysis, requirements gathering, infrastructure design, and peer reviews
  • Developing and evangelizing the re-use of project solution frameworks to simplify the solutions engineering process and improve resource productivity
  • Managing over $12MM in Business and IT operational expenditures

  • Appliance-based and virtual load balancing
  • Network security controls, such as firewalls, proxy servers and ACLs
  • Support technologies such as DNS, DHCP, Mail processing
  • Wintel based Application Hosting Products
  • Linux/Unix Based Application Hosting Products such as Tomcat and Apache
  • Database technologies such as SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, including replication technologies
  • Linux, Windows, and Unix Hardware/Operating Systems
  • High Availability Clustering Technologies including Oracle, Microsoft
  • High Availability Solutions including Replication, Load Balancing, Disaster Recovery Tools
  • Server Virtualization Technologies across Linux, Unix, and Windows Operating Systems
  • Remote Server Management Technologies
  • Cloud Computing solutions and technologies
  • End User Productivity and Mobility solutions and technologies for PC, MAC and Tablet devices

Qualifications

YOU HAVE:

  • A minimum of 15 years in defining, designing and deploying business infrastructures for internal and external customers
  • Proven experience leading large scale program management initiatives
  • Demonstrated success in building/managing highly effective engineering teams.  Adept at mentoring and coaching individuals to achieve their maximum potential, as well as crafting talent strategies to improve the overall expertise of the team
  • Knowledge of emerging tools that drive IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, and are well versed in emerging trends in big data, analytics, containers, auto-scaling, automation, and orchestration.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate new concepts, and drive change in process and behaviors
  • Demonstrated understanding of emerging trends in business products, business processes, and application/infrastructure ecosystems
  • Awareness of industry trends impacting business partners, the potential impact of these external market factors on technology decisions, needs and options
  • Experience in understanding business requirements, and managing the translation of business drivers into requirements, solutions and buildable designs
  • Experience and capability to develop and deliver Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP) solutions
  • Breadth of knowledge in technologies and services to provide end-to-end oversight of solutions design and implementation
  • Strong analytical focus, results-oriented and execution driven, with the ability to align technology developments with the generation of potential competitive business advantage
  • Knowledge of process definition, creation and deployment to ensure repeatable, standard patterns are created and followed
  • Bottom-line oriented with the ability to push self and team for results, demonstrated success at managing resources to achieve goals
  • Effective communications and presentation delivery skills, especially to senior management on technology strategies and standards; able to create and maintain cross-segment relationships and foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and cooperation
