Medecision is looking for a passionate, talented, hands on Senior Interoperability Architect, who blends solid interoperability architecture and Healthcare standards expertise with proven experience designing and implementing SaaS based interoperability solutions within progressive technologies.

  

You, as the Senior Interoperability Architect, will contribute to the innovative technology strategy and roadmap for our healthcare management solutions. You will serve as an influential leader on the team to provide the vision through research and recommendations of new interoperability technologies, techniques, and patterns and will provide proof of concepts, standards and best practices for its usage. This role is highly collaborative with our development and product teams to provide architectural guidance on projects associated with new product introduction and/or product enhancements. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person if they are passionate about standards and technology, thrive in ever-changing software solutions, and are motivated by the ability to impact customers in a complex industry.

Responsibilities

YOU’RE GOOD AT

  • Interacting with standards organizations and committees supporting efforts to enhance and adopt standards in the Healthcare space.
  • Leading the overall design of cross-functional, multi-platform interoperability solutions to supporting Web and mobile-based application systems.
  • Partnering with leadership on the future state interoperability architectural and standards strategy and roadmap, while contributing with innovative, new solutions.
  • Providing interoperability architectures (pattern based) for new features/functions in the company’s product suite.  These architectures/designs are documented in a standard fashion.
  • Leading efforts with development and product groups within the company to ensure that solutions are technically sound, performance efficient and fit the SaaS model.
  • Leading DevOps initiatives and assists in performance and scalability planning; testing as required.
  • Leading efforts with third party vendors to design integration solutions.
  • Leading evaluations of technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the company's products. Executing Proof of Concepts to aid in selection and creating sample code and modeling best practice use to enable streamlined and efficient implementation.
  • Guiding and contributing extensively to the ongoing collection, development, review and adoption of interoperability architecture and Healthcare standards and best practices.
  • Actively participating in the Governance process associated with technology and interoperability standards.
  • Staying up to date on latest technologies, open source projects and languages.
  • Mentoring and assisting developers with standards, best practices and as they migrate to new technologies.

Qualifications

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science preferred; Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience with the healthcare industry standards; e.g. HIPAA, X12, HL7.
  • Experience working with standards organizations and committees.
  • Minimum of 5 years of interoperability architecture experience implementing standards based solutions.
  • Experience with EMR, EHR, HIE and other vendor solutions.
  • Experience with interoperability products and technologies.
  • Experience with the enterprise service buses and integration brokers/middleware.
  • Experience with SOA standards, including SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, XSD,XSLT, UDDI and WSI.
  • Experience with design patterns in the creation of architectural deliverables.
  • Experience designing and implementing SaaS based solutions.
  • Experience with implementing DevOps solutions.
  • Experience with security and privacy standards; e.g. HIPAA, HITRUST.
  • Exemplary general IT knowledge (applications development, testing, deployment, operations, documentation, standards, best practices, security, hardware, networking, OS, DBMS, middleware, etc.).
  • Excellent Written, verbal, and diagrammatic communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, communications, decision making, presentation and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, and management to develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to accurately analyze information and make sound decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for achieving results.
