    Medecision is looking for a Product Program Manager, a passionate power contributor who blends solid planning, communication and organizational skills with proven proactive leadership experience. You will be an integral part of our Enterprise Project Management Office, driving key initiatives for the company and working with key leaders and clients. 

     

    THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU, IF…

     

    You, as the Product Program Manager, will guide a team that is charged with a product line contribution as a business unit. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. This includes managing the products throughout the product development lifecycle, working closely with the Product Manager and Business Analyst as well as working with Architecture and Engineering to develop the products, and create winning, market-impacting offerings.  You will develop and track project and product launch plans to ensure the product is completed on time and on budget and all product development gated process artifacts are created and approved while working with cross-functional teams involved in product development, testing and deployment.

                         

    You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and the ePMO Release Manager to define product release requirements. You will be responsible for both product planning and project management. You will also work with clients in implementing and monitoring product pilot programs and ensuring their success as well as working with implementation teams, the sales channel and key customers during production implementations.

     

    You will be expected to rapidly gain an understanding of the work environment (where to go, whom to ask, what is needed) in order to become that team asset who knows what needs to be done and who does it.  Additionally, you’ll manage all these activities through automated tools like AHA! and JIRA and held the organization to improve how it leverages these tools.

    Responsibilities

    YOU’RE GOOD AT:  

    • Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
    • Leading cross-organizational teams to deliver on-time, fully commercialized products.
    • Developing and managing project plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans and budgets. 
    • Executing and managing the SDLC process to ensure deliverables and timeliness
    • Support and assist Product Managers in the commercialization process across all relevant teams
    • Conducting project meetings. Responsible for program/project tracking, risk identification, issue resolution, analysis and management.
    • Ensuring effective communication flow among product owners, project team members and all IT functions that participate and impact the results of the project development effort. 
    • Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering) through explanation of technical and market requirements.
    • Identifying critical success factors for the product.
    • Addressing and resolving project problems based on the understanding of the Medecision platform and product requirements.
    • Aggressively pursuing opportunities to improve industry knowledge related to the priorities and needs of Medecision's clients as well as improve on personal professional management/leadership development.
    • Contribute and adhere to the Medecision project management toolkit and methodologies, identifying opportunities for improvement and executing on improvement suggestions.
    • Meticulous management of timelines and coordination with key contributors not under your direct control.

    KEY PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES and BEHAVIORS

    • Knowledge and ability to determine and satisfy business unit needs and maintain a partnering relationship during engagements; includes influencing, communicating, presenting, facilitating, managing and developing others.
    • Knowledge of and ability to apply project management principles to initiate, plan, execute, control and close multiple initiatives/engagements.
    • Understanding of the issues related to the decision-making process; ability to analyze situations fully and accurately, and reach productive decisions.

    Qualifications

    YOU HAVE:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences, Computer Science or Business.  
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required.
    • Knowledge and experience managing projects throughout the product development life cycle.
    • 5+ years’ experience in the Healthcare Information Technology sector, experience with big data and analytics preferred.
    • High-energy, creatively-driven, hard-working and an inspiring innovator.
    • Passion for great products and a desire to delight customers.
    • Ability to sift through details quickly and determine what’s important.
    • Strong and focused team player and a consensus builder.  
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and exciting environment.
    • Ability to travel up to 25% (Client and Medecision meetings).
