    Medecision is looking for a Solution Architect, who blends a solid background in enterprise and software architecture with proven experience in working closely with client business and IT staff to identify needs and opportunities and working with Product Management and Engineering to find the best way to meet them.




    You, as the Solution Architect, will contribute to the success of our technology strategy and roadmap for our healthcare management solutions and to the success of our customers in gaining the greatest possible advantage through our product offerings. You will serve as both a key resource to our client onboarding team as well as an influential team member in developing and extending our data product strategy. This role requires excellent communication, collaboration and facilitation skills, a deep understanding of enterprise and solution architecture and a strong background in the healthcare information systems.

    • Identifying new opportunities and weighing solution alternatives against often competing objectives.
    • Contributing to predictive / analytical modeling architectures, modeling standards, reporting, and data analysis methodologies.
    • Drawing on an extensive technology and business experience base while addressing client needs and concerns that span both aspects.
    • Developing and clearly and concisely documenting effective Solution Architectures in collaboration with Product Management and other Architects within Product Engineering that meet client business and technical needs by leveraging company products and integration with client and third party systems.
    • Effectively handling difficult people and complex circumstances in a changing healthcare landscape with a cool and professional approach that allows the real needs and concerns to brought to light and addressed.
    • Contributing extensively to the ongoing collection, development, review and adoption of architecture and development standards and best practices.
    • Familiar with ingestion and integration with 3rd party data sources
    • Answering complex data focused implementation related questions and concerns.
    • Developing documents (artifacts) for software applications, that define the business requirements and test scenarios, according to existing standards and methodologies.
    • Developing requirements, performing data collection, cleansing, transformation, and loading to populate facts and dimensions for data lake
    • Staying up to date on latest healthcare, architecture and technology developments.



    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or computer science; Master’s degree is preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of solution architecture experience in a client-facing role at a SaaS or other product development company combined with at least 5 years of software architecture and software development experience.
    • At least 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry with a focus on the payer side and knowledge of the provider side as well.
    • Extensive knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry covering payer and provider markets and familiarity with the changing regulatory, competitor and market landscape.
    • Exemplary general IT knowledge (applications development, testing, deployment, operations, documentation, standards, best practices, security, hardware, networking, OS, DBMS, middleware, etc.)
    • Experience with security and privacy standards; e.g. HIPAA, HITRUST
    • Exemplary written, verbal, and diagrammatic communication skills
    • Exemplary time management, communications, decision making, presentation and organization skills
    • Demonstrated project management and requirements management skills and extensive experience in working with stakeholders, project managers, other architects, developers and quality assurance specialists to define, scope and deliver solutions.
    • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, and executive management to develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
    • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to accurately analyze information and make sound decisions.
    • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for achieving results.



    • Healthcare Industry Knowledge: Deep knowledge of the healthcare industry, its challenges, trends, major issues, direction and regulatory considerations.
    • Narrowing Organizational Divide: Liaison between business/product owner teams, marketing/sales team and technical teams, including understanding the different jargons for each area and being able to translate between business requirements and technical requirements.
    • Understanding Business Needs: Understanding business requirements and determining whether a proposed solution meets the business requirements.
